Midterm essay
Dear An’Drew
If you do not achieve your goals of earning all C’s or better in all of your classes and finding a year round job instead of a spring/summer job, it could seriously interfere with your plans after junior year. You mother specifically told you that she was going to buy the cheapest and ugliest car she could find if you do not make all C’s or better in your classes. You need to stop procrastinating and work towards your goals or your plans will fall apart. You need to achieve your goals for next semester because you don’t want a crappy car, you want to pass junior year, and you want to start saving up for college and a place to live.

You have set a goal for earning all C’s or above next semester so that your mom will buy you a nice truck, rather than a beat up, broke down, and ugly car. If you achieve your goal, you will be able to go mudding with all of your friends instead of sitting in the passenger seat of your friends truck. Your girlfriend drives you around in her girly pink punch buggy, which you hate. If you get this truck you will no longer have to suffer looking like a loser in her little car. If you do no achieve your goal, you will have to buy the truck for yourself. It does not make sense to spend money that you do not need to spend.

If you do not pass junior year, you will feel like there is no point in going to school anymore. This will have a great impact on your plans of going to business school and owning a great business. Your whole life will be messed up just because you were lazy and did not put in the little extra work that you needed to pass. You might not fail junior year, but if you fail one of your classes you might be forced to take summer school. No one wants to wake up early in the morning to go to school in the summer. If you have any plans of a vacation during this summer, they will be ruined because you did not achieve your goal of making all C’s or better.

The job that you have now does not pay much, and you’re only able to work in the spring and summer. If you found a better job next semester, you can start saving up to go to college. You have been looking forward to college ever since you found out what you want to do after high school. It is necessary for you to find a better job or you might not save up enough money in time to pay for college and this could be a major setback in your life. In 1 year you will be on your own. You have wanted to leave your house and live in your own place. If you got a job next semester you could start saving up for a place to live after you turn 18.

Many people believe you are not capable of achieving those goals. Most people say it is because you are too lazy and do not care about your future. You have realized that achieving these goals will make your life as great as you planned, therefore, you will not fail at these goals. It’s time to start working toward your goals today.
Sincerely, An’Drew
